Beijing Layover Tour
For passengers with more than six hours of available time during a layover at Beijing Capital International Airport, a Beijing layover tour can be arranged to make the most of the stopover. Depending on flight schedules, visitors may choose to explore the Great Wall or selected attractions in downtown Beijing. If the layover is longer, additional sightseeing options can also be included, allowing for a more relaxed experience.
Great Wall Visit (Mutianyu Section)
For most layover tours, the Mutianyu section of the Great Wall is considered the most suitable choice due to its relatively convenient access from the airport. The driving time is approximately 1.5 hours each way under normal traffic conditions.
Once arriving at Mutianyu, a minimum of 2.5 hours is recommended to fully enjoy the visit. This time typically includes ticket purchase, shuttle bus transfers, walking along the wall, and photography. After the visit, the tour will return directly to Beijing Capital International Airport to ensure timely arrival for the onward flight.
